K Copy Helper browser extension privacy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how KOBADI handles information when you use the K Copy Helper browser extension in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Firefox for Android, together with the K Print and K Files services that the extension connects to.

Effective: August 28, 2026Publisher: KobadiService: kobadi.com

1. What the extension does

The browser extension provides user-initiated Copy, Paste, Print/PDF and K Print Inbox actions. The K Print web Inbox can also show K Print PDF jobs and files from the same account's K Files workspace. In the applicable Inbox interface you can explicitly choose Send, Share, Download, Upload or Delete. When you choose Send, the selected file is attached to a supported ChatGPT or Claude page that you already have open. When you choose Share, the selected file or files are supplied to the browser/operating-system Share interface so you can choose the receiving app or service.

2. Information we handle

Account identityYour username and/or email address is used to identify the KOBADI/K Access account that you connect to K Print.
Authentication informationYour password is transmitted over HTTPS for verification when you connect an account. The plaintext password is not stored by the browser extension or by the K Print authorization service after verification.
Client and connection dataK Print may process a Helper/client identifier, revocable Helper authorization token or device token as applicable, extension/client name, platform, device model, IP address, connection timestamps and functional service events such as upload, attachment or deletion. Browser Helper authorization is separate from the normal K Print device list and does not consume a device slot.
Website and clipboard contentWhen you invoke Copy or Paste, the extension may read selected or active-page text/HTML and clipboard text to perform that action. Ordinary Copy/Paste content is processed locally in the browser and is not automatically uploaded to KOBADI.
K Print and K Files documentsPDF files that you intentionally print to K Print are stored in your K Print queue. Files that you upload to K Files remain in your K Files workspace. The unified Inbox can list and access both sources for actions you request.
Local extension settingsThe extension stores settings, selected K Print profile, account display values, a revocable Helper authorization token and cached K Print visual-profile data in the browser's local extension storage. Older Helper profiles may be migrated from legacy device-token metadata and then converted to the Helper authorization model.

3. How we use information

4. ChatGPT, Claude and system Share transfers

The extension does not sell user data. When you explicitly press Send, the extension retrieves the selected K Print or K Files document and supplies it to the file-upload control on the supported ChatGPT or Claude webpage you already opened. That user-directed action transfers the selected file to the receiving AI service, and that service's own privacy terms apply. No document is sent to ChatGPT or Claude by this feature unless you choose Send.

When you explicitly press Share in K Copy Helper or the K Print web Inbox, the product prepares only the file or files you selected and asks the browser/operating system to open its Share interface. The file is transferred to a receiving app or service only through the Share target you choose. Canceling the Share interface does not mark the file as shared or intentionally transfer it to a Share target.

5. Storage and retention

K Print account credentials are verified for connection; the plaintext password used for verification is not retained by the extension or K Print authorization service. A revocable Helper authorization token is stored locally in the browser so the account can remain connected. Browser Helper authorization is tracked separately from normal K Print devices and does not consume a device slot; Windows/Android clients may use their own revocable device tokens. Server-side Helper/client or device authorization records remain until revoked, disconnected, deleted, migrated or removed through service administration. K Print jobs and K Files documents remain in their respective account storage until you delete them or they are removed under applicable service/storage maintenance.

6. Your controls

7. Security

Connections from K Copy Helper to kobadi.com use HTTPS. K Print uses revocable account-bound Helper authorization tokens and, for applicable native/mobile clients, device tokens rather than retaining the plaintext account password for ongoing access. Access to K Print jobs and K Files items is scoped to the authenticated account and authorized Helper/client or device session.

8. Data we do not use for unrelated purposes

We do not use extension data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending or purposes unrelated to the extension's document workflow. We do not sell user data. Any transfer needed to complete a user-requested feature is limited to that feature and the service needed to perform it.

9. Children

The extension is intended as a productivity and document-workflow tool and is not directed to children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when K Copy Helper, K Print or K Files changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.

11. Contact

For privacy requests or questions, use the publisher support contact shown for Kobadi in the applicable Microsoft Edge Add-ons, Chrome Web Store or Mozilla Firefox Add-ons listing, or the account/support controls available through kobadi.com.

This policy applies to KOBADI K Copy Helper and its K Print/K Files integration. It does not replace the privacy terms of ChatGPT, Claude, Share targets, or other third-party services that you independently choose to use.
